Hi all Dell Users,

Many of you might have win xp systems which may have the "SYSTEM CLOCK LOSES TIME" issue.

To resolve this issue, you should visit below link before going to the Dell Technicians.
http://support.dell.com/us/en/kb/document.asp?DN=1060115

Document Number: RA1060115

Why does my computer lose time while running the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system?

This should make your lot more easier as compared to those long waits on Dell Technical Support 1-800 phone number.

Any further concerns, may be mailed to me.

Thx.

don't worry here's the answer for XP...
Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.

Click the Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options link.
Click the Date and Time link
Click to change the time (if displayed incorrectly).
Click the Internet Time tab.
Click to uncheck Automatically synchronize with an Internet time server. (Figure 3)
Click OK
That was from a tech .......hahaha...take care

You people are great, Dell articles are all available on the web to search. It is that the users have time, they can be on hold for 1 HR but they donot want to look up for the information on the web which will help them in future also

Or you can just go download the time.exe patch, that actually resolves the issue. Changing the internet synch option doesn't always fix the problem.

All times are ET (US)
